The SECRET to making this recipe perfect is room temperature coconut oil - not to runny, but at a consistency that will hold the rest of the ingredients together.

¼ cup raw coconut oil, room temperature
1 ½ tablespoons cacao butter, melted *
2 ½ tablespoons maple syrup - grade b
4 ½ tablespoons raw cacao powder {my favorite brand is Nativia Naturals}
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract or vanilla powder
Pinch celtic sea salt or pink himalayan sea salt

*Cacao butter is HIGHLY recommended, but coconut oil can be used in the place of the butter.


In a small mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients together. Use a spatula to mix, mix and mix. The end result resembles pudding.

My favorite is adding about 1 teaspoon to a little bowl and mixing strawberries or raspberries into it. Truly decadent!
